Library Policies and Services
The Putnam City North High School Library contains approximately 24,000 volumes. The library has 38 desktop computers available for use. Additionally, we have one HP wireless labs with a total of 30 laptop computers. MAC lab with 30 computers.
All students should have a hall pass when using the library during class periods. Passes are not needed before or after school.
Borrowing Materials:
Students must show ID when checking out materials.
Students may borrow up to three items from the circulating collection.
Fines and payments for lost books:
The Library computer system records fines owed and overdue books for each student.
Students will be restricted from checking out additional materials until library obligations are cleared.
Most books are checked out for two weeks and are subject to an overdue fine of .05 per day.
Materials may be renewed twice.
Overdue notices will be sent to English teachers for distribution. Please bring overdue notices to the library to use as a hall pass. We will sign the notices as a receipt when you pay your fine or return your book.
Use of the Internet
In order to use the Internet or any library resources accessed through the Internet, students must have an Acceptable Use Policy agreement on file.
Students should remember that use of the Internet is restricted to educational purposes such as academic research and other activities which support learning.
